Illinois House Speaker Emanuel “Chris” Welch honored by Illinois House of Representatives as part of Black History Month

Speaker of the Illinois House, Emanuel “Chris” Welch, was recently honored by the Illinois House of Representatives through House Resolution 150 during Black History Month. The Resolution celebrates Speaker Welch, the first Black Speaker of the Illinois House, as an important part of Black history.
